In accordance with 5 CFR 1320, this information collection is approved, subject to the condition that NMFS calculate the increase in reporting burden for domestic fishermen stemming from the program changes that led to the decrease in burden for foreign fishermen. NMFS must reflect these burden increases when submitting information collection packages applying to domestic fishermen, particularly the logbook package.

FOREIGH FISHING VESSELS ENTERING THE U.S. EXCLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE A NUMBER OF REPORTS CONCERNING THEIR ENTRY OR LEAVING OF THE ZONE, FISH CAUGHT OR RECEIVED FROM OTHER VESSELS, AND SIMILAR ACTIVITIES.
