This collection is not approved. GSA may continue to use the existing collection through March 1989, while it responds to the remarks below. GSA has not shown why it needs a form that differs from SF 1407. Other Departments, including Defense, use the SF 1407 for determination of financial capability. GSA Form 527 seems to overlap with several areas in Standard Forms 1403 through 1408. In addition, extensive financial information is available from Dun and Bradstreet through the government's contract, consistent with OMB Circular No. A-129. For each data element required under GSA Form 527, GSA should show whether or not this information is available from the sources listed above. If it is not, GSA should describe the program need which the data satisfies. Any data which GSA is specifically required by statute to collect should be so noted.
