When conducting this evaluation the NRC should 1) bear in mind that the medical care industry has extensive experience dealing with potentially dangerous substances, and 2) demonstrate the usefulness of this information by showing how NRC used the information collected in the past. The evaluation should weigh the benefits of this collection to hospitols, their employees and patients against the 419,929 hours of reporting burden.

THE INFORMATION IN THE REQUIRED REPORTS AND RECORDS IS USED BY THE NRC TO MAKE LICENSING AND REGULATORY DECISIONS TO ENSUR PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY.
