Abstract:
THE NATIONAL JAIL CENSUS IS NEEDED TO PROVIDE CURRENT INFORMATION ON INMATE POPULATION AND JAIL FACILITIES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY. THE LAST CENSUS WAS CONDUCTED IN 1983. DATA WILL BE USED FOR PROGRAM PLANNING AND POLICY MAKING FOR CORRECTIONS.
