Abstract:
THE SPOUSE EQUITY ACT OF 1984, PL 98-615, PERMITS QUALIFIED FORMER SPOUSES OF FEDERAL EMPLOYEES OR RETIREES TO ENROLL OR CHANGE ENROLLMENT IN THE FEDERAL EMPLOYEES HEALTH BENEFITS PROGRAM, SF 2809 IS USED FOR THE ELECTION. SF 2809 IS ALSO USED BY ANNUITANTS OF OTHER RETIREMENT SYSTEMS (NOT CSRS OR FERS) TO CHANGE THEIR FEHB COVERAGE.
