INSURED STATE NONMEMBER BANKS ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO OBTAIN THE CONSENT OF THE FDIC PRIOR TO REDUCING OR RETIRING ANY PART OF THEIR COMMON OR PREFERRED STOCK OR RETIRE ANY PART OF THEIR CAPITAL NOTES OR DEBENTURES. TO OBTAIN THAT CONSENT, THE BANKS SUBMIT LETTER APPLICATIONS TO THE FDIC.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
