Abstract:
PRACTITIONERS WHO DISPENSE NARCOTIC DRUGS TO INDIVIDUALS FOR MAINTENANCE OR DETOXIFICATION TREATMENT MUST REGISTER WITH THE DEA UNDER THE NARCOTIC ADDICT TREATMENT ACT OF 1974. REGISTRATION IS NEEDED FOR CONTROL MEASURES AND IS USED TO PREVENT DIVERSION.
