Terms of Clearance: Approved for one year with the following conditions. (1) HUD believes that the information collection requirements contained in this policy notice are not subject to Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) review. However, the policy notice requires compliance with the information collection requirements contained in exhibits A-L of the notice. Consequently, this policy notice is subject to the PRA. (2) HUD states that the requirements in exhibits A-L impose a "usual and customary" burden. HUD, however, has failed to provide any evidence that non-FHA mortgage forms, notes, and riders request the same information as those in exhibits A-L. If HUD will document the "usual and customary" nature of the requirements at exhibits A-L, OMB will reduce the burden attributed to this information collection to one hour. (3) HUD should provide OMB with a listing of the information collection requirements that are being replaced by this notice, and that are to be removed from the inventory. These information collection requirements should be identified by OMB control numbers and CFR or handbook citations.

Abstract: THE DEPARTMENT ENSURES HOME MORTGAGES, THE DEPARTMENT MUST ENSURE THAT THE MORTGAGE INSTRUMENTS HAVE PROVISION THAT ARE COMPATIBLE WITH IT'S PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS. THE SUBJECT INSTRUMENTS CONTAIN THE SPECIFIC PROVISIONS NEEDED TO ACCOMPLISH PROGRAM OBJECTIVES.
