Abstract:
THE REGULATIONS REQUIRE TAXPAYERS TO FILE STATEMENTS WITH TAX RETURNS IN ORDER TO SECURE NONRECOGNITION ON CERTAIN DISTRIBUTIONS TO FOREIGN CORPORATIONS. THE SERVICE NEEDS THIS INFORMATION TO ENSURE THAT FUTURE TAXABLE DISPOSITIONS WILL BE REPORTED AS INCOME.
