We note with approval that IRS has developed this new form to substantially reduce the paperwork burden on small tax-exempt organizations. We have approved this form for one year. When it is resubmitted for OMB review for tax year 1990, the agency shall the usefulness of this form in tax year 1989 in terms of collecting information needed by IRS, reducing burden on the public, and clarifying and simplifying the form and instuctions. You may omit printing the expiration date on this form.

Abstract:
FORM 990-EZ IS NEEDED TO DETERMINE THAT IRC SECTION 501(A) TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS FULFILL THE REPORTING CONDITIONS OF THEIR TAX EXEMPTION. IRS USES THE INFORMATION FROM THIS FORM TO DETERMINE IF THE FILERS ARE OPERATING WITHIN THE RULES OF THEIR EXEMPTION.
