Abstract:
HISTORIC PRESERVATION CERTIFICATION: SECTION 251 OF THE TAX REFORM ACT OF 1986, REQUIRES THAT THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR CERTIFY TO THE SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY UPON APPLICATION BY OWNERS OF HISTORIC PROPERTIES FOR FEDERAL TAX BENEFITS, (A) THAT THE PROPERTY IS A HISTORIC STRUCTURE, AND (B) THAT THE REHABILITATION WORK IS CONSISTENT WITH THE HISTORIC CHARACTER OF THE HISTORIC STRUCTURE.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
