Abstract:
THESE PILOT STUDIES ARE AN INTEGRAL PART TO THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT O AN IMPROVED SYSTEM FOR DERIVING A COMPREHENSIVE, NATIONAL COUNT OF WORK-RELATED DEATHS. THE PILOT STUDIES, TO BE CONDUCTED IN TWO STATES WILL TEST THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A MORE TIMELY DATA COLLECTION METHOD AND DATA VALIDATION PROCEDURES, UTILIZING ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION SOURCES IN THE STATES.
