This clearance reinstates OMB approval for existing information collections. When SSA issues the final rules and if there are no substantive changes from the proposed information collections, SSA can submit a correction worksheet to reflect the change in burden hours. Abstract:
THE INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THIS REGULATION IS USED TO ESTABLISH THAT ALIENS MEET CERTAIN RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTITLEMENT TO SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME BENEFITS. THE AFFECTED PUBLIC CONSISTS OF ALIENS WHO FILE CLAIMS FOR SSIE AND DO NOT MEET THE "NORMAL" RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS.
