Abstract:
THE AFIDA OF 1978 REQUIRES FOREIGN PERSONS TO TIMELY REPORT HELD, ACQUIRED OR TRANSFERRE U.S. AGRICULTURAL LAND UNDER PENALTY OF LAW. THE INFORMATION COLLECTE IS UTILIZED IN THE PREPARATION OF REPORTS TO CONGRESS AND THE PRESIDEN CONCERNING THE EFFECT OF SUCH HOLDINGS UPON FAMILY FARMS AND RURAL COMMUNITIES.
