Abstract:
PURSUANT TO THE TARIFF ACT OF 1930, THE TRADE ACT OF 1974, THE TRADE AGREEMENTS ACT OF 1979, AND THE AGRICULTURAL ADJUSTMENT ACT, THE USITC DETERMINES WHETHER IMPORTS ARE CAUSING INJURY TO DOMESTIC INDUSTRIES. DATA FROM QUESTIONNAIRES SENT TO PRODUCERS, IMPORTERS, AND PURCHASERS OF PRODUCTS UNDER INVESTIGATION FORM PART OF THE STATISTICAL BASE FOR SUCH DETERMINATIONS.
