ACCURATE INDUSTRIAL CODING BASED ON THE 1987 STANDARD INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATION MANUAL IS NEEDED BY MANY FEDERAL, STATE, OR LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND PRIVATE RESEARCHERS. THESE REVISIONS TO THE INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATION FORMS GATHER THIS INFORMATION IN A SIMPLER AND MORE MEANINGFUL WAY.
