RESPONDENTS (50 STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, FIVE TERRITORIES, AN TWO RIVER BASIN COMMISSIONS) SUBMIT BIENNIAL REPORTS AND ANNUAL UPDATE (OR CERTIFICATIONS) CONTAINING WATER QUALITY DATA. THESE REPORTS PROVIDE THE PRINCIPAL INFORMATION SOURCE FOR ASSESSING NATIONWIDE WATER RESOURCES AND FOR PERFORMING WATER QUALITY ANALYSES REQUIRED IN BIENNIAL REPORTS TO CONGRESS.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
