Terms of Clearance:
OMB wishes to complement EPA for the quality of the ICR submission. We found the the disaggreation of the burden estimate for each regulation to be useful and clear. We also found the ICR history to be accurate and helpful and found the overall description of the purpose of the data to be illumative. We commend EPA for this ICR and would like this format and quality to be a model for future ICR reques .

OWNERS/OPERATORS OF INJECTION WELLS MUST OBTAIN PERMITS, CONDUCT ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING AND MAINTAIN RECORDS, AND MUST REPORT RESULTS TO EPA OR STATE AGENCY. STATES MUST REPORT TO EPA ON PERMITTEE COMPLIANCE AND RELATED INFORMATION. DATA ARE USED TO ENSURE SAFETY OF UNDERGROUND SOURCES OF DRINKING WATER.
