PROVIDE STATE AND NATIONAL ACREAGE, YIELD, AND PRODUCTION ESTIMATES FO THE MAJOR U.S. FIELD CROPS. WEEKLY CROP PROGRESS REPORTS ARE PROVIDED DURING THE GROWING SEASON. PRODUCTION ESTIMATES ARE USED IN MARKETING DECISIONS THAT AFFECT THE NATION'S FOOD SUPPLY.
