MSHA IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE APPROVAL OF CERTAIN PRODUCTS AND EQUIPMENT FOR USE IN UNDERGROUND MINES. MSHA'S APPROVAL INDICATES THAT SPECIFICATIONS AND TESTS, DESIGNED TO ENSURE THAT PRODUCT WILL NOT PRESENT A FIRE, EXPLOSION, OR OTHER SPECIFIC SAFETY HAZARD RELATED TO USE, HAVE BEEN MET.
