Abstract:
TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY, SHIPS, SURETY BONDS, INDEMNITY BONDS, WATER TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS, PERFORMANCE BONDS, INSURANCE' REGULATIONS IMPLEMENT SECTION 2(D) AND 3(D) OF P.L. 89-777 (46 U.S.C. SECTION 817(D) AND (E)), WHICH HOLD THE COMMISSION RESPONSIBLE FOR ASCERTAINING PASSENGER VESSEL OPERATORS' FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TO INDEMNIFY PASSENGERS FOR NONPERFORMANCE AND TO MEET LIABILITY INCURRED FOR DEATH OR INJURY. FORM FMC-131 IS THE APPLICATION FORM.
