As DOL has requested, approval is conditional on DOL providing respons to questions raised by OMB on 7/26/93, regarding the utility and reliability of the data collected, and the clarity of instructions provided to respondents. Specifically, DOL shall report on: -- the statistical validity of verifying information through post- collection checks of certain social security number endings; -- whether all information collected is used for eligibility determination and assignment; and -- whether respondents would be helped by a definition of "excludable income" in the instructions to Q. 22. DOL shall provide these responses as soon as possible.
