Terms of Clearance:
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act and 5 CFR 1320, this information collection (0583-0092) has been approved for six months. Should the agency choose to resubmit this information collection at that time, it shall provide a more complete justification of each item In particular, it is unclear that the agency is seeking under the prio label approval section. This clearance is intended only to reinstate the existing clearance for prior label approval pending changes propos in rulemaking. It does not cover changes in Nutrition labeling requirements, Safe Handling statements, or other recent regulatory or policy changes that have resulted in additional requirements and label submissions, as the FSIS has yet to fulfill the requirements under 3504(h) of the PRA as part of the rulemakings. Each of these new collections or amendments to existing collections must be submitted as a separate clearance request even if the agency wants to have the new collection reviewed ultimately as part of this OMB number.

THIS INFORMATION COLLECTION ADDRESSES MEAT AND POULTRY PAPERWORK AND RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENTS REGARDING OFFICIAL MARKING DEVICES, LABELIN AND PACKAGING MATERIAL.
