Abstract:
THE FEDERAL INSECTICIDE, FUNGICIDE, AND RODENTICIDE ACT REQUIRES PESTICIDES TO BE CLASSIFIED AS GENERAL OR RESTRICTED USE. RESTRICTED USE PESTICIDES CAN ONLY BE USED BY OR UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A CERTIFIED APPLICATOR. APPROXIMATELY ONE MILLION FARMERS (PRIVATE APPLICATORS) AND 350,000 COMMERCIAL APPLICATORS ARE USING RESTRICTED USE PESTICIDES.
