Abstract:
46 CFR PART 148 REQUIRES THAT A DANGEROUS CARGO MANIFEST AND SHIPPING PAPERS BE PREPARED FOR AND ACCOMPANY MOST SHIPMENTS OF BULK SOLID MATERIALS WHICH REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING. AS REVISED, 46 CFR PART 148 AUTHORIZES THE SHIPMENT OF BULK SOLID CARGOES NOT LISTED THEREIN UNDER SPECIAL PERMITS AND REQUIRES SHIPPERS CERTIFICATIONS FOR CERTAIN CARGOES.
