In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act and 5 CFR 1320, this information collection (OMB #0572-0059) is approved for three years. However, upon resubmission the agency shall improve the justification of the burden estimates. It is unlikely that the burden hours per response is 1.1948995. In addition, many forms have not been updated since they had Bureau of the Budget approvals. While, OMB is flexible about using up existing stock, an effort should be made to update the forms. These two points are symptomatic of a submission that received little attention by the agency. Prior to the next submission, the agency shall make a serious effort to review the collection for potential consolidation, updating to take advantage of electronic technology, an review of the practical utility of the information.
