Abstract:
THIS STUDY PROVIDES ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR FULFILLMENT OF SECTION 3 OF THE RESOURCES PLANNING ACT. THIS DATA IS NEEDED TO EVALUATE HOW FUNDS CONCERNING NONINDUSTRIAL FOREST-LAND OWNERSHIPS ARE EXPENDED. INFORMATION ON TIMBER AVAILABILITY FROM THESE LANDS IS ESSENTIAL TO FOREST INVESTMENT. THE 2.6 MILLION PRIVATE FOREST-LAND OWNERS IN THE NORTHEAST HAVE MANY MOTIVATIONS.
