This ICR is approved under 5 CFR 1320. When EPA resubmits this ICR for reapproval, it shall provide a detailed explanation of the derivation of the selection labor rates ($ per man hour), including citations of references, or rely on current OMB guidance. Further, EPA shall provide an assessment of why the seven (7) year record retention is of practical utility to the agency, detailing the frequency and nature of EPA's use of the records on purchasers.

Abstract:
STATE AIR MONITORING AGENCIES ARE REQUIRED TO USE EPA-DESIGNATED REFERENCE OR EQUIVALENT METHODS IN THEIR AIR MONITORING NETWORKS. MANUFACTURERS OF AIR MONITORING METHODS (E.G., AIR ANALYZERS) SEEKING EPA DESIGNATION OF THEIR PRODUCTS CARRY OUT PRESCRIBED TESTS AND SUBMI THE TEST RESULTS AND OTHER INFORMATION TO EPA IN THE FORM OF AN APPLICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH 40 CFR PART 53.
