Abstract:
THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO RULE 15C2-12 WILL REQUIRE BROKERS, DEALERS, AND MUNICIPAL SECURITIES DEALERS TO UNDERWRITE AND SELL ONLY OFFERINGS SUPPLY SECONDARY MARKET DISCLOSURE, AND PROHIBIT THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PURCHASE OF SALE OF MUNICIPAL SECURITIES UNLESS BROKERS, DEALER MUNICIPAL SECURITIES DEALERS HAVE PROCEDURES IN PLACE THAT PROVIDE REASONABLE ASSURANCE THAT THEY WILL RECEIVE PROMPTLY ANY NOTICES OF MATERIAL EVENTS WITH RESPECT TO THOSE SECURITIES.
