Abstract:
Manufacturers of passenger vehicle lines may petition the agency for an exemption from Part 541 requirements, if a line(s) of vehicles is equipped with an antitheft device as standard equipment and meets the agency's criteria. The antitheft device must be determined to effective in reducing/deterring theft as Part 541.
