Terms of Clearance:
This collection is approved, as amended by ACYF's memorandum of 5/7/96, for one year to cover the 1996 submission of the Annual Progress and Services Report. After analyzing the content of the State and Tribes' Annual Reports, ACYF will report to OMB on the quality of the submissions, particularly in terms of identifying progress in meeting the State and Tribes' goals and objectives. In addition, as agreed to with OMB, information collected on systemwide policy and administrative changes, program development activities, and specific family preservation and family support programs supported with title IV-B, subpart 2 funds will be used as part of the Family Preservation and Family Support Implementation Study.

Abstract:
Under title IV-B, subparts 1 and 2, States and Indian tribes are to submit a 5-year plan, an annual progress and services report, and an annual budget request and estimated expenditure report (CFS-101). The plan is used by States and Indian tribes to develop and implement services and describe coordination efforts with other Federal, State, and local programs. The annual progress and services report is used to provide updates and changes in the goals and services under the 5-year plan. The CFS-101 will be submitted annually with the annual progress and services report to apply for appropriated funds for the next FY.
