Abstract:
The IPEDS provides information on postsecondary education--its providers, enrollments, completions, and finances in addition to other information. The recent publication of final regulations for Student Right-to-Know and changes in financial accounting standards for nonprofit institutions have made it necessary for NCES to modify the IPEDS data collection for 1996 and 1997 to help institutions adapt to these changes.
