Abstract:
Automated vital system regulations are necessary to promote the safety of life at sea on USCG-certified vessels. The Coast Guard reviews plans, tests, and procedures to determine compliance and evaluate necessary manning of automated vessels. Automated vessel designers, shipyards, manufacturers, and owners are affected.
