Approved. OMB notes that DOL amended two elements in the supporting materials. First, item 17 of the 83-I cover form should be read to indicate that this collection of information does not employ statistical methods. Second, response #3 of the justification should be read to indicate that SESAs do not currently have the capability to transmit petitions to ETA electronically. Further, as a condition of clearance, ETA in the next submission of this paperwork will make any necessary adjustments to the collection process so that SESAs can transmit petitions to ETA electronically.

Abstract:
DOL issues an annual list of Labor Surplus Areas (LSA's) so that Federal agencies can direct procurement contracts to employers in high unemployment areas. The annual LSA list is updated during the year based upon petitions submitted to DOL by SESA's requesting additional areas for LSA classification.
