Abstract:
Information obtained under 46 CFR part 515 will enable the FMC to implement the licensing and financial responsibility requirements mandated by the Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 1998. In addition, the information will enable the Commission to ensure that ocean transportation intermediaries in the U.S. foreign commerce comply with the Shipping Act of 1984.
