Abstract:
The attached NPRM examines a variety of measures intended to increase the efficiency with which telecommunications carriers use telephone numbering resources in order to slow the rate of number exhaust in the U.S. and to prolong the life of the North American Numbering Plan. All the proposed requirements are to prevent the premature exhaustion of numbering resources.
