Abstract:
This rule is needed to insure that applications for non-selectable transponders and shore-based radio navigation aids are coordinated with the U.S. Coast Guard for a determination that such stations do not pose a hazard to navigation. Copy of rule attached.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
