Abstract:
Section 522 of the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA) requires that a Federal lands program be established to govern surface coal mining and reclamation operation on Federal lands. The information requested is needed to assist the regulatory authority in determining the eligibility of the applicant and compliance with the requirements of SMCRA.
