Abstract:
This survey determines the level of foreign portfolio investment in the United States, the types of investors, and foreign investment patterns. The data is used for policy formulation, the computation of the U.S. balance of payments and international investment position, and to satisy 22 U.S.C. 3101. The affected public consists of major U.S. corporations.
