Abstract:
This report is the only source of current, consistent demographic information (age, ethnic, sex, occupation, industry) on the Unemployment Insurance (UI) claimant population. These characteristics identify important claimant cohorts for legislative, economic, and social planning purposes and evaluation of the UI program on the Federal and State levels.
