Abstract:
This survey uses a double sampling design to describe visitors to and develop estimates of the number of recreation visits to National Forests and Grasslands. The purposes of its primary module is to estimate National Forest visits with a defined level of statistical accuracy and in a consistent method for each National Forest in the U.S. in accordance with 1993 GPRA requirements. To assist Forest staff in planning and management decisions, various characterists about vistors are obtained.
