Abstract:
The letter is sent to insurance companies that provide surety bonds to protect the Federal Government. These companies then provide information necessary for the renewal of their Treasury certification and the determination of their underwriting limit. Summary information about the company is then published in Circular 570 for use by Federal bond approving officers.
