Terms of Clearance:
Approved for eighteen months to give OSHA time to promulgate Phase II of the Standards Improvement Project. Approval is consistent with clarifications in DOL memo of 8-18-00 including agreement to examine alternatives to requiring worker social security numbers in recording exposure monitoring results. The burden hours for training continue to count as part of the burden of this collection.

Abstract:
The purpose of this standard and its information collection requirements is to provide protection for employees from adverse health effects associated with occupational exposure to MDA. Employers must monitor exposure, keep employee exposures within the permissible exposure limits, provide employees with medical examinations and training, and establish and maintain employee exposure-monitoring and medical records.
