This information collection request is approved conditional upon DOL's agreement to submit a copy of the revised planning guidance to OMB no later than 04/13/2001. OMB notes that the cost burden of $1,065,000 attributed to respondents is actually a federal cost because the expenses are paid from the grant funds provided by DOL. The record has been adjusted accordingly. OMB is pleased that DOL is developing an electronic reporting option for all grantees in accordance with the Government Paperwork Elimination Act. Approval of this collection will extend until 03/2003 at which time OMB will follow-up to ensure that this effort has been completed.

Abstract:
This is a proposed collection of participant information relating to the operation of employment and training programs for Indians and Native Americans Under Title I. Section 166 of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). It also contains the basis of the new performance standards system for WIA section 166 grantees. The burden estimates for this collection include the Supplemental Youth Services Program as well as the Comprehensive Services Program authorized under section 166. Burden estimates do not include those tribes currently participating in the demonstration under Public Law 102-477.
