Abstract:
The supplemental information will be submitted by grant applicant who apply for funding in six categories that are newly authorized in the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program by Congress in fiscal year 2001. The grant categories are: training programs wellness and fitness programs, acquisition of firefighting vehicles, acquisition of firefighting equipment, acquisition of personal protective equipment, and fire prevention programs (see section 152.1 of the interim final rule). FEMA will evaluate the grant applications to ensure that funds are distributed fairly and equitably to urban, suburban, and rural fire departments,
