Abstract:
Rule 17a-7 was adopted in 1956, and requires non-resident brokers or dealers registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission to make and keep copies of requisite books and records in the United States or to file an undertaking agreeing to make them available to the Commission upon request.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
