Terms of Clearance:
INS did not comply with the previous terms of clearance which identified the need for revisions according to the LIFE Act. The LIFE Act passed in December 2000, which extended eligibility for adjustment of status for certain individuals. In addition, this form does not reflect new HHS categories of communicable diseases that have been documented since the mid 1980s. INS will resubmit a re-engineered version of this form to conform with the LIFE Act and HHS' categories of communicable diseases by July 2002. In the future, INS will ensure that it complies with previous terms of clearance. This information collection package will not be extended upon resubmission without the aforementioned revisions.
