Terms of Clearance:
Approved for 1 year. OSHA is currently reviewing the PSDI rule and expects to complete this review by March 2003. The collection is approved for 1 burden hour. If there is any change to the standard OSHA shall submit a revision package to OMB. Also if employers begin to use the PSDI, OSHA must submit a Change Worksheet request to OMB to show the increase in burden.

Abstract:
Presence sensing device initiation (PSDI) is no longer prohibited. To assure the safety of the system, the rule requires a certification program. Manufacturers and employers who choose to use PSDI will have to maintain some records in order to meet the requirement of the standard.
