Abstract:
The Police Contact Supplement is a supplement to the National Crime Victimization Survey and collects, analyzes, publishes, and disseminates national level information on the nature and consequences of respondents' interactions with police and the possible use of excessive force by law enforcement officers during these interactions. Respondents include persons 16 years of age or older. This represents approximately 84,700 persons in 50,300 households in 658 PSU's across the United States.
