In the next year, the Department of Labor has agreed to revise the forms in accordance with the 07/10/02 OMB Memo and to examine concerns raised during the normal course of review under the PRA. DOL will justify any departures from the changes specified in the 07/10/02 Memo and justify the need for any additional revisions. The Department will also continue its review of the nature and need of information collection required in current regulations and report to OMB upon resubmission of this ICR the results of its review.

Abstract:
The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) requires private sector employers of 50 or more employees, and public agencies to provide up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave to "eligible" employees for certain family and medical reasons. Records are required so that the Department of Labor can determine employer compliance with FMLA.
